Is It Time To Buy Las Vegas Condos
To buy a condo in Las Vegas is the right time. We were there a few weeks back and they are practically giving them away. Condos that used to sell for $300K are now going for $185K. Last year we almost bought some property in Henderson up in the Madera canyon area. This is a beautiful area that has some great views of the Vegas skyline.
The only question now is should we wait a few more months to see if prices go down more. I’m thinking the bottom of the housing market will not happen for another 4-5 months. I think the same condo that is selling for $185K will probably sell for $165K by then. The problem with new condos is that the owners have bank loans that are kicking in and they need to sell some units to make the payments on their loans. So selling way under is just a need to survive for the owners and they will make there money back when the market rebounds in a year or so.
New Clothes Are Always Nice
Tomorrow I’m going to Nordstoms to look at some shoes. The shoe dept. there is great they have brand names like Geox shoes, Cole Han, Johnston & Murphy and Josef Seibel shoes. The trick is to try them on and pick out the ones you like then go online to see if you can get them for less. This almost always works and I’ve saved lots of money doing this.
I’m also going to need a new sports coat for a dinner I’ve been invited too. I’m thinking about checking out a Kenneth Cole store that’s nearby. I was shopping there a few weeks back and they seemed to have a great selection to choose from. Going to conferences can be fun but it’s important not to dress like a slop and remember that I’m representing my company and image can be important to some.

The last time we had a storage unit we stored our wave runner there. The problem was the place closed after 6:00 PM and when we came back from jet skiing it was often later than six. This meant we had to park out wave runner outside our home and make a trip the next day. This was very inconvenient for us and eventually we sold our wave runner. So one of the most important things in finding a public storage is the hours of operation. A buddy of mine says his unit has 24 hour access and a newspaper company uses his storage company and is there almost all hours of the night.
It’s going to be nice to get the holiday clutter out of our garage this year and I even have a few pieces of furniture that we aren’t using that I will be sure to put in first. (towards the back) I hoping to find a 15 x 15 unit that which should be big enough.

So I started looking around for some sewing supplies and found that Michaels or online are really the best places to get supplies. This year I really want to do something special for my sister and I’m thinking about looking at sewing machines. I didn’t know there where so many different ones to choose from. Brands like Singer, Janome, Euro-Pro, Brother, Juki and Rex it’s going to be hard to find the right one. Who knew there are so many with all the different features and whatnot. What happened when the days of a basic sewing kit were enough. I’m guessing those days are long gone and most people just go to a tailor or a dry cleaners nowadays.
Tomorrow I’m going to go down to Sears and see what they have. What I plan on doing is finding out the best ones then going online to find the best price. The best prices are always online and for a high ticket item like this most if not all the place offer free shipping. I just glad Jaime doesn’t read this blog otherwise she would know what I’m getting her.
