My mother-in-law has been a nurse for more than 30 years. She started off working at desert hospital in Palm Springs and has been there ever since. She wants to cut back and do some traveling so she is now looking into a travel nursing agency so she can get paid to do what she loves. Travel nursing is for a short period of time but is a great way to help out communities in need as well as visiting a new place.
Some of the benefits of a travel nursing job is higher wages and furnished housing. This is a perfect job for someone like my mother-in-law who just has herself and her dog. She doesn’t have to worry about being away from a significant other, she can just pick up and go. The best part is that most assignments range from 4 to 16 weeks and most amenities are provided. Things like telephone, cable and Internet access and did I mention they pay the rent!
She has applied and is now awaiting response. Who knows maybe she will even meet that special someone when she’s out helping others. I can really understand how she feels after working somewhere for a long time you really need a change of pace, no matter what type of job you have. I own a company but I really don’t want her working for me.
